Student Story – Daizee Watling
Education is a powerful resource that can be used to change the course of someone鈥檚 life. Daizee Watling had a crossroads moment at school when she made the change to Alesco Senior College鈥檚 Newcastle campus based at Cooks Hill.
鈥淚 was not fitting in at my previous school and believe that changing to Alesco allowed me to flourish through one-on-one support and to successfully complete my HSC,鈥� says Daizee.
After school, Daizee went on to complete a BSB34015 Certificate III in Business and then a SHB30115 Certificate III in Beauty Services at 新彩开奖. It was during her beauty course that she discovered her passion for this area and more specifically within skin therapy.
鈥淚 initially was a bit unsure on what I wanted to study, however, I really enjoyed learning about beauty and have now found an industry that I love,鈥� she said.
Daizee decided to continue onto a SHB50115 Diploma of Beauty Therapy and received Direct Credit Transfer (DCT) from her certificate. She was excited to have the same trainer for both beauty courses due to her trainer鈥檚 extensive experience in this field.
鈥淢y trainer Alison is highly knowledgeable within the beauty sector and was very supportive during the courses that I obtained at Atwea,鈥� she says.
Moving forward, Daizee would like to utilise her beauty and business qualifications to eventually start her own practice specialising in skin therapy. This year she progressed to an Associate Degree in Health Science at the Australasian College of Health and Wellness to complement her other qualifications and assist her with this goal.
